OCPM's Special Events

The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine prides itself on reaching out to the podiatric community with special events which ultimately support the education of our students. Events such as the Glass Slipper Fete, Vino Casino Night, and the OCPM Golf Outing, are fundraising benefits that raise money for the OCPM Student Scholarship Fund. Last year, 26% of the student body received scholarship support from the OCPM Student Scholarship Fund, totaling over $585,000 of financial assistance.

Also, OCPM produces Continuing Education Conferences such as the OCPM Southern Exposure Seminar held annually in Cincinnati, Ohio. OCPM Continuing Education Seminars are a great resource the college provides to the podiatric community for DPMs to secure their Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours, as well as provide an avenue to stay connected with OCPM and fellow alumni and friends. OCPM provides large conferences that provide 25-28 hours like Southern Exposure, but also provides smaller, more hands-on programs that offer 8-10 CME hours. The college is also nationally and regionally affiliated with other organizations and companies as the CME sponsor.

The OCPM Alumni Association also hosts events for all alumni, students, and friends of OCPM to build good will and camaraderie such as the OCPM BBQ held annually on campus, as well as regional and national receptions and meetings throughout the country. The Alumni Association is a great avenue for alumni to stay connected and take pride in their alma mater.
