Friday, April 26, 2002 for the June or July programs

Program Description
The Pre-Professional Internship Program at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (OCPM) is designed to provide insight into the many facets of podiatric medicine and the education involved with obtaining the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree. Student interns rotate through the following departments in the Cleveland Foot and Ankle Clinic on OCPM's campus: General Medicine, Podiatric Medicine, Orthopedics/Biomechanics, and Podiatric Surgery. A typical day includes open clinic observations in the mornings and department rotations in the afternoons. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in grand rounds on Wednesday mornings and observe surgeries on Mondays and Fridays. Interns will participate in workshops on admissions, financial aid, student activities and the first-year experience. Interns will also have the opportunity to interact with current OCPM students in discussion-based student forums, as well as social events in the Cleveland area. The dates for the 2002 programs are:

Session I: January 7-11 (1 week)
Session II: June 3-14 (2 weeks)
Session III: July 15-26 (2 weeks)
